# --no-sandbox

CLI: `--no-sandbox` · REST: CLI only

Turns off the Chromium process sandbox, so untrusted page content renders without that isolation. Pass it only on a runtime that cannot run the sandbox.

On Linux, running as root turns the sandbox off without this flag. The ZShot Docker images keep it on with the seccomp profile under [Hardening](/reference/docker/hardening).
