# --server-bind-address

Value: `IFADDR_OR_PATH` · Default: `127.0.0.1`

Sets the interface address or Unix socket the server listens on. Bind `0.0.0.0` to accept connections from other hosts or from outside a container. Write an IPv6 address in brackets, such as `[::1]`, or `[::]` for every interface. A hostname binds the first address it resolves to.

A `unix:` path, such as `unix:/run/zshot.sock`, listens on a socket and takes no [`--server-bind-port`](/reference/flags/server/server-bind-port).

## Example

Listen on every IPv4 interface:

**CLI**

```sh
zshot --server --server-bind-address 0.0.0.0
```

Listen on every IPv6 interface:

**CLI**

```sh
zshot --server --server-bind-address "[::]"
```
