Shell completions
ZShot completes flags and their values in bash, zsh, and fish. How the script loads depends on the install.
APT repository and .deb
The package installs the scripts where each shell loads them, so completions work in the next shell you open:
| Shell | File |
|---|---|
| bash | / |
| zsh | / |
| fish | / |
bash loads the script through the bash-completion package.
Homebrew
The cask prints these lines after install. Add the one for your shell to its profile:
# ~/.bashrc
source <(zshot --completions bash)
# ~/.zshrc, after compinit
source <(zshot --completions zsh)
# ~/.config/fish/config.fish
zshot --completions fish | sourceLinux tarball
share/ in the tarball holds the same three files as the .deb. The system install in INSTALL.txt copies them under /usr/share. When running in place, use the profile lines above with the path to the extracted zshot.
Other shells
--completions also generates scripts for elvish and powershell.
